Measuring Functions
The set of Metrel’s Opto LAN - MI 5100 and Multi LAN 350 - MI 2016, offer complete function set needed for verification cabling, including Cat6 / Class E and fiber optic installations.
Main test standards and cable types for cooper and fiber are pre-programmed!
The Autotest feature offers a complete optical cable verification to be performed.
The results from the Optical Power Meter to Multi LAN 350 - MI 2016 are received via the IR interface.
Optical power meter Pm420
The PM 420 Optical Power Meter is designed to measure optical power or insertion loss in optical networks.

Optical light sources LS 420
The LS 420 optical light source for multimode cables is a part of standard set. Optionaly LS 420 optical light source for singlemode cables is also available.

Other features
- Test standard, fiber cable type and other fiber link parameters can be set in the Test Standard Menu of Multi LAN 350.
Pass/Fail limits are calculated on base of selected standard and entered cable data. The limits and parameters are then used in the Autotest function. - All the necessary optic patch cords ended with PC/FC, SC, ST, both 50um and 62μm types of cable's sizes together with the adapters for Referencing and Testing according to Measuring Method A and Measuring Method B.
- Mandrels are highly recommended standardised accessory to improve stability and accuracy on all multimodal fiber cable tests.
- IR Fiber adapter FOA-1 A1186 enables transferring the test results from the memory of Optical Power Meter PM420 to the instrument MultiLAN 350 MI2016. The MultiLAN tester automatically recognise the adapter and the screen of the instrument will turn into saving mode. It enables to control saving results under three levels of memory on a big screen of Metrel's MultiLAN 350 and prepare the professional final report which could be easily printed via LAN Link PC software.
Software
Windows compatible LAN Link software package enables test results downloading and creation of a test report.Downloading data directly from PM420 to PC via USB or IR.
